Last Days- does that sound Sacreligious?

We drove out to the Lincoln Beach Lake Harbor on the South end of Utah Lake. We've been taking fun nighttime drives with the girls trying to take in all the beauty of Utah we can. We are leaving next Saturday and we are very excited! You would think the move is Christmas-Kate is the most excited.

The best part of the week was our Garage Sale-Success! The last hour we posted stuff on KSL for Free and I told all my neighbors, they got a ton of fun stuff. I took in all the Rubbermaid tubs and put out a "free" sign. This couple pulled up in their Jacked-up Ford grabbed everything down to the blankets on the ground, threw it in the back of the truck and drove away. I was dying laughing. I called Spencer at work as I spied through the window. We didn't have to take a thing to DI.

The Fourth and Fifth and Sixth......

Time is flying. For More Detail you can read Spencer's Blog or Lisa's Blog. We have about 20 days left and we are cramming in as much fun and family as we can even though we have so much to do. Here are some highlights from the past couple weeks.

Spencer rode his first Brevet? 125 Miles. He is soooo amazing! He wasn't even sore after-all he complained of was a sunburn....

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Bob!

Kate started riding without training wheels, it took her about 10 minutes to pick it up. She's a Morse and it's in her blood I guess. She rode her bike almost the whole time at Grandpa Bob's birthday celebration in Alpine.

Jess had fun playing with Sienna her cousin and drinking as much Root Beer as possible.

Lisa loves a Holiday, especially the fourth of July! It's the best day to celebrate her dad!

We started doing fireworks and all these little girls showed up! we live in a strange neighborhood that way, not a lot of parental supervision, in fact this little Hispanic girl I have never seen before came running down the road-and just sat down-Strange!
We drove near Thanksgiving Point, pulled over, turned up the Radio and watched the Fireworks with the girls. They were great!

We finished off the night with Fresh Home-made Apple Pie!!!! As American as it gets.

We spent some time with Maryanne's Boys while she was at Mom's Recovering from Surgery. They Ambushed the Princess Castle with their army men.

We went swimming with Malinda's Kids and played in the sun. Kate and Jess can't get enough of Cayden, Kambree and Devin.

We've been enjoying eating fresh and local foods. One day I opened the fridge, it looked so good I took a picture. I'll say it again but if you haven't watch FOOD INC. it will change the way you feed your family. We are so blessed to have such great food. We will have even more access to Healthy, Local Food.

The birthday, for REAL:

For Kate's "REAL" birthday, we had some special surprises in store for her. First, Beebs got her a miniature kitchen set.

Next, she got a new chapter book . . . Charlotte's Web! She and Lisa recently finished a fun version of Little Women, and Lisa found Charlotte's Web at a fundraiser yard sale up the street.

And finally . . . THE PINK VIOLIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Bed

When we move, we are going to be in a 2-bedroom, student housing apartment. Therefore, the girls need to be in the same room, so we've been looking for day/trundle beds or bunk beds for the girls. We came across this on KSL and had to get it. Just perfect.

It has a slide and the girls just love it! Lisa is repurposing the sheet you see hanging to be a tent with windows. The other blog will have those details :)

Tamales!

Our sweet neighbor Eugenia helped us make tamales, estilo Mexicano. It was quite a process, but we ended up with 48 yummy pork tamales. We're figuring out some recipes that don't involve two bricks of hydrogenated lard :)

Princess Camp

For the final installment of Princess Camp, the girls got to meet Ariel! Kate was a little stand-offish, since she's not used to bare torsos, but she warmed up for the pictures.

Flour Girls and Dough Boys

We really LOVE this little cafe in old downtown American Fork. They have a couple little places for kids to play and this time they had some toys and chef accessories.

Birthdays and Family Ride

We had a lot of fun this week. On Sunday, we had a birthday get-together for Grandma Di, Mitch, and Kate. We had yummy food, fun gifts, and good times. Jake and Bryton gifted Kate a Tinkerbell doll, which she can't stop talking about. In fact, she fell asleep on the floor outside the bathroom while Lisa was taking a bath--with Tinkerbell in her hands. Cute kid.

Family Ride

Monday, we went on our weekly Mad Dog Cycles sponsored family bike ride. We rode down Carterville road into Provo, ending up at Exchange Park. The funnest part, perhaps, was when Jess fell asleep in the iBert.

We stopped so Lisa could snap a pic of our poor sleeping child.

And couldn't figure out how to safely stop on the Brompton, so it was lying on the ground right in front of . . . . . .

Kate got bored in the 0.2 seconds that we were stopped. Rocks beat parents every time.
